Vegan Buttermilk & Sour Cream

Ingredients:

1 Cup Almond Milk

1-2 Tbsp lemon juice

Vegan Buttermilk :

Add 1-2 Tablespoons of lemon juice to 1 cup of vegan milk such as almond milk or any other plant-based milk of your choosing. Let the mixture stand for a couple of minutes (5-10) until tiny lumps begin to form. The mixture can then be used right away in your baking.

Vegan Sour Cream :

Simmer 1-2 cups of almond milk but be careful not boil it. Squeeze 1-2 Tbsp of lemon juice into it and let it curdle. Let the mixture cool and pour it into a muslin (cheese) cloth. Use what remains in the cheese cloth as sour cream.
