Recipe:

1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric Powder

Pinch of Black Pepper

1 teaspoon of coconut oil

2 tablespoon of coconut milk

2-3 drops of vanilla extract

1 splash or vanilla syrup (sub with maple or honey)

2 tablespoons of warm water

Notes on the ingredients

Remaining true to our vegan roots, we decide to use coconut milk which is high in good fatty acids. The fat in coconut milk, when used with turmeric powder, brings out the substance curcumin. Coconut oil contains traces of good cholesterol which once again also boosts the positive side-effects of curcumin. 

Instead of using fresh turmeric spices, we have decided instead to use grounded turmeric powder which contains significantly higher traces of curcumin. The grounded turmeric powder used in our Golden Bliss Shot recipe packs enough of a curcumin punch that moderate consumption is shown to treat the aforementioned diseases. 

We have decided to use vanilla extract and vanilla syrup because of its strong sweets and aromatic smell. Others may choose honey or maple syrup instead depending on preference. Or, for the true power users out there, with no sweeteners added for that wish to enjoy the golden shot in its purest form.

Black pepper, much like the fats found in coconut oil and coconut milk, brings out the best in the turmeric spice.  Black pepper makes the curcumin in turmeric more bioavailable; to put in simpler terms, your body becomes more prone to digesting larger amounts of curcumin when taken with black pepper.
